About this Practice
Symbol of Yoga Pose — a seated forward bend from cross-legged position with hands clasped behind the back. Opens the posterior shoulders, rounds the spine, and is traditionally used to redirect prana inward.
How to Practise
- 1
Sit in Sukhasana or Padmasana.
- 2
Clasp hands behind the back.
- 3
Inhale to lengthen. Exhale and fold forward, pressing clasped hands overhead.
- 4
Rest forehead on the floor.
- 5
Hold 30 seconds to 1 minute.
