About this Practice
Mountain Pose — the foundation of all standing poses. Teaches the body to stand with active alertness, improving posture, balance, and the foundational alignment carried through all other asanas.
How to Practise
- 1
Stand with feet together or hip-width apart, toes spread.

Engage legs gently — lift kneecaps, firm the thighs.
- 3
Lengthen the tailbone toward the floor; lift the chest.
- 4
Roll shoulders back and down; arms hang at sides.
- 5
Lengthen through the crown of the head. Hold 5–10 breaths.
