About this Practice
Headstand — the 'King of Asanas'. Reverses the effects of gravity on the entire body, nourishes the brain and pituitary gland, strengthens the core and shoulder girdle, and produces profound mental clarity. Practised under supervision until mastered.
How to Practise
- 1
Interlock fingers; place forearms on floor. Crown of head into cupped hands.

Straighten legs; walk feet toward head.
- 3
Engage core and shoulder stability.
- 4
Lift one knee to chest, then the other.
- 5
Slowly extend both legs upward. Hold 1–5 minutes. Build gradually over months.
