About this Practice

Accomplished Pose — considered the foremost meditation posture for serious practitioners. The heel placement stimulates the Muladhara chakra, and the posture is traditionally associated with the cultivation of vital energy (ojas).

How to Practise

  1. 1

    Sit with legs extended.

  2. 2

    Bring the left heel to the perineum.

  3. 3

    Place the right foot on top, tucking the toes between the left calf and thigh.

  4. 4

    Sit tall with spine erect.

  5. 5

    Hold for meditation sessions.
