About this Practice
Full butterfly — both hips opened simultaneously. A more complete hip-loosening exercise that also stimulates the reproductive organs and is particularly beneficial for menstrual health.
How to Practise
- 1
Sit with soles of feet together (Baddha Konasana position), knees out to sides.
- 2
Hold the feet with interlaced fingers.
- 3
Gently flap the knees up and down like butterfly wings, 30–50 times.
- 4
Straighten the legs briefly between rounds to rest the inner thighs.
