About this Practice
Eagle Pose — a complex standing balance that squeezes and releases the shoulder and hip joints, improving circulation to the smaller joints. One of the best postures for sciatica and shoulder tension.
How to Practise
- 1
Stand in Tadasana.
- 2
Bend knees slightly. Cross right thigh over left; right foot wraps around left calf.

Extend arms forward at shoulder height. Cross left arm over right; forearms wrap.
- 4
Lift the elbows and drop the wrists. Squeeze arms and legs together.
- 5
Hold 5–8 breaths. Repeat on the other side.
