About this Practice
Advanced internal cleansing practice involving swallowing and withdrawing a long moistened cloth strip to clean the stomach and oesophagus. One of the six classical Shatkarmas. Performed only under direct supervision of a trained teacher.

How to Practise

This kriya must only be performed under direct supervision of a trained and experienced teacher.

A fine muslin cloth strip (approx. 3 inches × 22 feet) is used.
- 3
The moistened cloth is swallowed slowly, inch by inch.
- 4
After a brief period, the cloth is withdrawn.
- 5
This process cleanses mucus, toxins, and foreign matter from the stomach and oesophagus.
- 6
Performed on an empty stomach only.
