About this Practice

Churning the mill. Seated circular movements in a wide figure that simulate hand-grinding, massaging the abdominal contents, toning the uterus, and stretching the lower back and inner thighs.

How to Practise

  1. 1

    Sit with legs wide apart.

  2. 2

    Interlace fingers, extend arms forward.

  3. 3

    Lean forward as hands pass over the right foot in a wide circle.

  4. 4

    Continue: right, forward, left, back — as if stirring a large pot.

  5. 5

    10 rounds clockwise, 10 anticlockwise.
