About this Practice

Walking breath meditation — rhythmic nasal breathing coordinated with gentle walking. Bhraman Pranayam integrates breath awareness into movement, making it ideal for those who struggle to sit still for pranayama.

How to Practise

  1. 1

Walk slowly in a garden, terrace, or quiet space.

  2. 2

Coordinate the breath with steps: inhale for 4 steps, exhale for 4 steps.

  3. 3

As practice deepens, extend to inhale-4, exhale-8.

  4. 4

Breathe through the nose. Keep the shoulders relaxed and the gaze soft.

  5. 5

If the mind wanders, gently return to counting.

  6. 6

Practise for 10–30 minutes in the morning or evening.
