About this Practice
Child's Pose — the ultimate resting posture. Gently stretches the hips, thighs, and lower back while calming the nervous system. A refuge whenever rest is needed during practice.
How to Practise
- 1
Begin on hands and knees. Bring big toes together, knees wide or together.

Exhale and fold forward, lowering the torso.
- 3
Extend arms forward (active) or by sides (passive).
- 4
Rest forehead on floor or block. Close eyes.
- 5
Hold 1–5 minutes or as long as needed.
