About this Practice

Low Lunge — a powerful hip-flexor stretch that counteracts prolonged sitting. Opens the front of the hip and thigh, improving posture and relieving lower back pain.

How to Practise

  1. 1

    Step right foot forward from Downward Dog. Lower left knee.

  2. 2

    Sink hips forward and down.

  3. 3

    Inhale and raise torso upright, arms overhead.

  4. 4

    Lengthen tailbone toward floor.

  5. 5

    Hold 5–8 breaths. Repeat on left.

⚠️ Cautions & Contraindications

Knee injury. High blood pressure.
